Right, I am NOT putting myself up for, nor accepting the post of organizer for North 1, but to get the ball rolling, I have put together the following route.

www.bikehike.co.uk/mapview.php?id=17360

This is around 70 miles long and looks to have a pig of a climb to start with.

Part of this is my daily commute & I know it quite well, the crossing of the bridge has been lifted from the instructions on the Edinburgh to St Andrews ride.

Comments welcome, particularly suggestions for handovers etc.

I can't do all this fancy mapping stuff but one change I would make on the map is the route to the FRB from Cramond

As you go along Standingstane Lane you will see a road on the left that goes to the B800 (under the A8000). I would go that way turn right on the B800 and then to the bridge via the Queensferry Services (a good handover point) or Ferry Toll park and ride for another handover

Let's see your route then ...

Nah, It'd be too difficult for everyone else. Too many big hills. ;)

I'm sure if this all comes together, that I'd be able to do some of the route.

(P.S. you did notice the wink didn't you?)

Of course I saw the wink. Even though I didn't put one in my post, it was there in spirit. As an old fart, it just isn't my style to use emoticons.

Guys are we still talking about the event or is this 'wink and route' code for something else? ;)
