.....Chips (as above)

Back in 1979 or whenever it was on, I'm sure it was early evening on a Saturday.

After it had finished, all the kids on the estate were out on their bikes playing it for real. There was nothing better than a good game of chips, burning round the estate on the Grifta !!

This was a while back, but Space 1999.

Complete random nonsense, absolutely unwatchable.

How was it ever screened?

How did I sit in wait and anticipation of it coming on, week after week?

Season One was ok, bit '2001', bit Thunderbirds witha cool theme tune. I think some of the minature efects were fab at the time and look surprisingly good today compared to CGI, and done on a TV budget. Season two was just sh**e though, with added insult of a disco-sh theme tune:sad:.

Did you watch both of these this morning?
Watched the Waltons but just as Little House was starting had to go to work .
Loved them both (still do ).
No, I didn't, but |I'll watch them at the drop of a hat, and blub like a baby if I'm watching alone :-)

I watched Lovejoy recently for the first time since it was originally aired. It was watchable. I still like The Sweeney and Minder. Any of the old police shows are still watchable; Inspector Morse and Midsomer Murders for example.

I've mentioned Vega$ to people but was the only one who remembered it. It was the first thing that came to mind when I was in downtown Las Vegas, although it's changed a lot there since the show.

I had my worst ever bike accident after watching CHiPs. I cornered way too fast on my Grifter and dropped it at speed. Blood everywhere! No really damage though.

Funnily enough, even though I'd never watched a single episode before, I always assumed Mcgyver was crap, then I accidentally watched an episode on CBS Action the other day, it was crap.
