Why is it such a faux pas to wear socks under sandals? I simply don't see anything wrong with them.

An even bigger faux pas would be to wear the socks over the sandals.

Wearing socks and sandals is very, very comfortable. And what's wrong with PJs? Its the mark of a gentleman.
