Schwinn Paramount PDG 50 seatpost size.

So this is my new project, most of the parts are on but I don't know what seatpost fits and I couldn't find any info online. It's a 1991 Schwinn PDG series 50 mountain bike? A 27.2mm post nearly fits, so I'm guessing it's 26.8mm.

Did you ever figure out the answer to this? I'm working with a 1991 Paramount PDG 30. Most likely they're the same.
Calipers seem to measure the post at 26.3, but I'm not sure I trust these calipers or the hands holding them.

Measuring will get you better answer than any asking on here, and with far more assurance, Digital calipers are your friend. What ever the largest measurement is, is the figure to go for, with more assurance as you achieve repeated results.
