Shaking hands with famous/well-known people

I suppose most of us have shaken hands with some big names at some time or other.

Apart from a lot of pro cricketers from the mid 70s onwards, the 'most' famous/well-known, I suppose, were the Queen Mother and Prince Philip (on separate occasions).

I met some famous people when I lived in Stockholm, and previously in Norway. But the best to-date, was Jens Voigt last week!

Who've you wiped skin with?

i've shaken hand with the one-armed drummer from def leppard!

Yehudi Menuhin - towards the end of his playing career. He made an awful racket, but was a hugely nice person.

David Gedge - manning the souvenir stand at his own gig

Brian Jacks once sat down next to me on a plane, but before I could shake his hand he was removed by the police.

Mark Lester is a friend of mine, so a few times with him.
Redgrave and Pinsent at a rugby match.
Charlie Boorman on a train.
Rufus Sewell in a pub.
Sir Robin Knox Johnson at Southampton Boat Show one year.
Errr, that's all I can think of.

Ah, forgot Pinsent. I met him when he was a student - he shared a house with a school mate. All I can remember is that he was effin' enormous and consumed something like two entire loaves of bread for breakfast (he had already been training though).

He is a very big lad.
I forgot another one, Jason Leonard (rugby).
