Have you considered a safety razor? Blades around 30-50p each, not quite as cheap as a sanding wheel but still beats a cartridge razor handsomely. And adds a slight frisson of danger to the shaving experience without any serious chance you're going to bleed out in the bathroom

Instead of buying a pack of 25 disposable razors from the 99p shop stick a sanding wheel in a Black & Decker instead. You'll get a closer shave and it won't tear as many lumps out of your skin.
Try a cheese grater next time and let us know how you get on.

I went away for work once with an untested gents travel shaving kit bought for me. The razor may have well been a blunt flint tool. Not a good morning.

I too have made the mistake of Poundland razors. I'd have been better off with the potato peeler.
