Again, this isn't about prevention it's about making sure I am covered should something happen and it is claimed to be my fault. If enough cyclists did this and drivers were aware that there was every chance the cyclist up ahead could be recording them, would they pass more safely?
Most motorists won't take the time to check that you're wearing a helmet cam. It's your choice how you ride and which accessories you choose to take with you, if wearing a helmet cam deals with your anxiety then it's fine to wear it, but my thoughts are this: It should not be necessary to wear a helmet camera as some kind of insurance policy, there are no cameras in my car, I don't record my activities when I'm a pedestrian.
