My Wife and I were not worried, just mindful. We agreed that, since we have a car, we shall visit less "popular" beaches and the like (for fear of a Tunisian style attack.... just typing that sounds so disrespectful...I'm sorry).
Then this morning things notched up another level.
The kids have no clue and would be devastated if we cancelled until we told them why, which would probably scare them from ever travelling so we would likely make up an excuse and have to deal with their disappointment/blame for some time to come.
I appreciate, as others say, that the risk is most likely the same as being in London or any major city but then i don't take my entire family into London for a fortnight. I have been looking at the Govnt website all day and the risk of kidnapping seems more apparent then direct actions.
Oh and we are in a small apartment complex, mostly privately owned, with a hotel attached. I actually felt this a little safer than a big complex as it would be as attractive a target,
What crazy times we live in, I cant believe that we need to make these types of considerations to just have a week or two away from work!
waiting for the kids to go to bed and shall have a proper chat together and decide.
