onanism...must admit that I had to google it. Not sure it's forming part of my frequently used vocabulary but you learn something new every day!

Off sick today. My lovely son and daughter have been very generous and passed on the sickness bug that they picked up. Bored already!

I'm not really one for just sitting about but not sure it's safe to go too far as (without going into too much detail) my stomach is still not a happy camper. I tried lying down but it made me feel worse. My son is hogging the TV and there's only so much Paw Patrol and Peppa Pig that I can bear!

Any suggestions?
Do what I've been doing recently, and play Half-Life on the PC. It's very therapeutic, shooting anything that moves! :gun::evil::boxing::ninja::addict:

best thing is to drag yourself into work, clearly looking really ill, gain sympathy and credibility.

Then, next time you fancy a clear day off no-questions asked, you can phone in sick - they'll believe you must be really bad - result ! And your conscience is clear as you've just swapped the day you would be legitimately entitled to .
I'm allowed four 'free' sick days a year. Anything above that, I have to get a medical certificate from a doctor. When I worked in the Netherlands you would sometimes get someone coming round to your house to check you were really half dead and incapable of coming in.
