What's happened to his Drivetime Show? Who invited Jo Wiley on...I can't stand her...totally spoils a great Radio show for me...anyone else feel the same?

Simon Mayo from what I heard! Totaly different musical tastes which seems odd to me.

I had high hopes, as I liked both their previous separate shows, but it's not working is it?
And the other changes to the R2 evening schedule have me listening elsewhere.

Never liked Simon Mayo, even back in his Radio 1 days ("Mayo-naise" ). The confession thing on his R2 show always had me switching off. So it's got even worse? I won't be finding out!
Since I discovered digital radio, I rarely subject myself to any of the BBC stations any more.

I'm with the above posters, it doesn't seem to be working, the chemistry is not there. The humour and banter with the others has gone. Shame because I really liked the previous style of the program. Last night s prog seemed to be a mishmash of the arts show and mayo's cinema show.

When Radio 1 DJs move on, the good ones go to Radio 6, the tedious ones go to Radio 2.

I see he's now co-presenting with Ms Whiley.

I've not heard the show, but as a general point I've not liked the co-hosted programmes I've heard elsewhere.

One person prattling on is enough, two becomes irritating.

In general, the changes to R2 over the last year have not been that good. Cerys Matthews taking over from Paul Jones on the Blues show does not sit nicely.

All those changes, not for the good, and Steve Wright is still there, churning out the same garbage year after tedious year.
At least they could have taken the opportunity to get rid of him.

I used to like Steve Wright but even he is pushing me away from R2 these days. Maybe I'm just getting older, but it seems to me that R2 has made a policy decision to aim at a younger audience. Possibly those who have left R1 in the last 10 or 20 years, rather than 30 years in my case.

I used to love Drive time. I have tried to stay with it but there is no chemistry. It’s dreadful.
Even worse is Jonathan Ross subbing for Steve Wright, who is awful nowadays. Wossy is even worse.
I turn off after Ken Bruce now, although I listen to Tony Blackburn and keep meaning to listen to Woo, Gary Davis on catchup.
