Slippery when wet

I am doing a sixty mile bike event tomorrow in which looks not ideal conditions.After seeing dan martin come off yesterday in belfast in the wet it got me to thinking is there any precautions i should take as the roads will be wet.?
*I will be riding a giant road bike with 25c tyres.

Just a query don't you mean inside leg down? Unless you mean inside pedal up? But inside foot down off the pedal? Am I over complicating things?

Try to stay off painted markings on the road as they are slippery when went!

I have scraped my inside pedal 3 times in the last week , with the side pedal up. Obviously I've been leaning to far over? Got remind myself not on motorbike lol

Watch out for the black lines, tough to see when it's raining.

All the above plus oil\diesel patches especially on corners they will have you off even at 5mph. Don't forget to have fun too even in the rain.

Stay well clear of chain gang time trailing Garmin riders.

The only real answer is slow and cautious when anything than in a straight line.
