Started when I was 13, up to 20 a day by the time I left school. Finally quit when I was in my late 20s. Did it slowly, cut down from 20 to 10 to 5, then 3 then 1 and then, The Last Cigarette. I waited til I was home alone and went outside to enjoy it. Stubbed it out half way through as I felt really sick.
I sometimes miss the act of smoking, but the not cigarette itself.
And just the smell of it on other people makes me both heave and cringe with embarrassment at having put my friends through that for so many years
