Umm - skin's waterproof, folks? Well, mine is

If you get off on riding in the rain then do it. If you don't enjoy it, then don't do it.
Cycling is for fun, not some sort of proof of your manliness.
Fair enough, if you need to get cold and wet for health reasons; but it doesn't mean that you have to ENJOY it, or do it to somehow prove your manliness as some are claiming.I cycle for excersise more than fun, the health benefits are my aim.
I am more than happy to admit I won't be cycling in our current heavy rain and cold strong wind. I'm with you, if it stops being fun and enjoyable, that's when it starts to make you wonder if it's worth doing at all and would be so easy to pack it in.Fair enough, if you need to get cold and wet for health reasons; but it doesn't mean that you have to ENJOY it, or do it to somehow prove your manliness as some are claiming.
Just splash some water on your face for the same effect...
Being one of your followers on Strava, I know that you have absolutely nothing to prove in cycling terms. You regularly knock out half centuries on hilly terrain that most can only dream about, myself included. I hope you never feel the need to pack it in, as you clearly enjoy it, given reasonable conditions.I am more than happy to admit I won't be cycling in our current heavy rain and cold strong wind. Forget rain, the wind is the only issue recently. Did not expect such strong wind yesterday around lunchtime really screwed up my average speed and I considered not uploading my ride because of it. When you put the effort in and the wind holds you back, stops you getting KOM's etc, nothing is more annoying.
A very untrue statementI guess that's the difference between a cyclist and someone who rides a bike.
