Any run ins this morning?
Or haven't they realised yet.
Or haven't they realised yet.
the Motor Cycle Industry Assocation has issued a code for bus-lane users on bikes. In brief, it suggests:
1) take extra care around vulnerable road users in bus lanes
2) be aware of pedestrians walking through traffic queues and at bus stops
3) give cyclists a wide berth
4) never undertake cyclists - [may I add, scooterists take note, seeing as this is by and large your favourite manoeuvre]
5) always assume cyclists cannot see or hear you behind them
6) do not use excessive speed in bus lanes
7) do not overtake each other
8) watch out for other vehicles at junctions
9) take extra care when riding alongside congested pavements
10) we are ambassadors for motorcycling; riding in a bus lane is a privilege that needs to be respected

And right in the middle of a credit crunch
In shared pedestrian/cycle lanes pedestrians complain about cyclists - out in the country ramblers complain about cyclists (motorised or not). Give any group of folk usage of anything and they form a pressure group to gain sole usage.
Give me the Judean Peoples Front anyday or is that .....................![]()
