Another of those song, you just can't get out of the system again.....Steve Earle is just a great singer/songwriter. Emmilou put on a gentle touch of spices, and Del McCoury Band wraps it in, in the finest giftpaper. You know when you're in good company.

Browsing through some of my music files I came on Lena Martell and Make the World Go Away seems to suit my mood.
I once met her in Helensburgh many years ago before she became a big name. I was sorting my paper round deliveries and she came into the shop just after 0600. She had toothache and could not sleep so had come out for a walk. She was singing at a gig in Glasgow apparently. Seemed a nice girl but she had problems later in life which she overcame eventually.

Several Country singers were asked to sing his songs for an album. Tammy Wynette sang it (her last ever recording) To see Brian's pain in the booth some 40 years after writing it cracks me up every time.
