I lived near Port Glasgow for a while. Wee George and myself went to the dancing in Greenock sometimes. He fancied himself as a ladies man and forever fell foul of jealous boyfriends. Being farm labourers we were tougher than the shipyard bunch but there were more of them. Happy days.

finally escaped
I worked at Priestside, mile and a half from Crosshill..
Still plenty keen cyclists in Inverclyde so may be an enthusiast that has the bike...

Try http://findthatbike.co.uk/ it only picks up searches from Ebay and Gumtree, but it's easier than searching those separately - you can specify counties and you can set search alerts too...
