compass
walkie talkies ( quicker, easier and cheaper)
The bike
Spare tubes
Pump

Forget the saucepan - get cook in bag army rat packs. Snap and heat themselves etc

Saves on H2o and you will then only need a fork.

Helmet

waterproofs

the list is endless ( depends on your specific needs)

Enjoy

There are regular water taps on the SDW so don't carry too much. Try and make the weight of everything as little as possible - there are some tough hills on that route. Try and choose a dry spell as the chalk can be treacherous if you're not careful.
Great route and good luck. Come back and let us know how you get on.
