Although I would not call it Spag Bol due to death threats I would receive from my Italian colleagues, I concur. However, I always add a spoonful of Marmite in too.
Isn't spag bol a british interpretation of Italian cuisine anyway?

Wide tagliatelle ribbons are the right pasta to have with Bolognese anyway, Italians wouldn't entertain the thought of spaghetti with ragu, it's all wrong.

Not nearly as wrong as mushrooms, Henderson relish or tinned beef stew mind.... sheesh! That sounds more like a scout camp pot luck dish.

Marco Pierre White would recommend a knorr stock pot by the way... I checked.

I try to make it differently each time. Sometimes it's garlic and red wine. Other times it's Lee and Perrins. If not, branston pickle. I've stopped using beef stock now, the tomato comes through better I think.
