I've no doubt these pedals are good but £515 for a pair of pedals.......

This is where someone says they've got them on their hack bike.....

For that price I would want them delivered attached to a bike.

Always liked the look of the Speedplay system and they do have cheaper models.
In the real world I'll probably stick to PD-M520 at £20 a pair

Only really suited to people obsessed with bike weight, additionally your wallet would also be a lot lighter so you could take that out with you too. I raced motorcycles at club meetings years ago, people would spend fortunes on lightened parts, titanium bolts etc etc. I shed some weight before a race by going to the toilet for a good number 2, then spending the money I had saved for some post race beer in the club house. I could do with losing 5 kg of body mass before I could begin to justify £50 on lighter pedals let alone £500. "a fool and their money blah blah blah"

I bought a pair of the cheapest speedplay light action pedals a couple of months ago and they're by far the best pedals I've ever tried and that's most of the main brands. Easy to clip in and out, especially as I'm female and have less weight, really good for dodgy knees and power transfer is better. IMHO.

I swear by Speedplay pedals for commuting on a road bike: double sided so no issues clipping in when at the lights or on hills, plus adjustable float to help the knees and a large platform with efficient power transfer. On the down side they are difficult to walk in, expensive and cleat replacements aren't cheap either. However, as I commute in all weathers on a full carbon Specialised Roubaix Expert they go nicely with the bike!
