The winds hit the SE quite hard. My local pub got hit bad. But if we all pull together we can rebuild.

Still blowing a gale here, that's over 18 hours of this particular storm. Why is it that these storms manage to cross the Atlantic in about 48 hours, then take another 2 days to cross the UK?
Metreologically  Metereologically  Meteorogically  Technical-weather-wise ;) - it's because there is more friction over the land than over the sea, so the Low pressure system slows down a bit. :okay:

Paranoically - it's just out to get you !

Sorry to hear that, @ianrauk - hope you are able to get Emergency Funding from the Government to repair the serious damage.
Cameron is on his way as we speak.

Here for rides.
I went for a run. I had to dodge several empty recycling bins, one of which hit a car and took it's windscreen out.

It was a pretty hairy ride into work this morning, huge sidewind gusts on the exposed bits had me seriously leaning to keep upright and the headwind had me pedalling a climbing gear going downhill. Not that wet or cold though, just lots and lots of wind
