That does lok very like a very new house, wall and path
and a much older bus stop and pole - other wise the pavement would show signs of work


so I suspect the house has just been built and they are waiting for the counsel to move the bus stop

I admire your optimism! I've seen bus stops put up in the middle of paths and bus shelters blocking cycleways. It seems sometimes nobody feels empowered to question bonkers plans before installing them and costing the council more money to fix it, sometimes including compensating those injured.

There is one on a bridge I go over quite often
just one

a while ago they took all the grilling off the bridge for some works

when they put it all back it was all new
Except the section with the padlocks - which they put back

which I think if nice

I'm told that the local authority has to cut the padlocks off the foot/rail bridge in Köln every few months.

I'm not surprised. When I walked across that bridge in about 2012, it was covered in them from one end to the other.

Bakewell (of Pudding fame) also de-padlocked a bridge last year, I believe.. 🔒
