I bought Viking Fixie (a nice lightweight 13.5kg steel frame) for the commute and the day's I'm time constrained; it has the same affect if ridden hard (good work out in half the time). Up north it'd give me the same work out in a 1/4 of the timeI am on limited time these days due to my son, but the way i do my miles makes 50 feel like a century!

Not worrying about ice, etc after dark also means I'm less time constrained.

2 young kids and work along with packing for the impending house move severely limit my bike time so i am really happy with that as i was aiming for 800km +

696km for me...really wanted to get to 750km (tree felling and clearing has taken up most of my weekends!!!) but will have to try harder in Junedoggle!!!
Starting at midnight with a 55.55kph (34.52mph) average.Day 1 of the June thing and the leader is on 500 +
