..not sure whether it is my imagination, but did anyone else commuting in London notice the increase in cyclists today?

There seemed far more of us than usual on my route along Jamaica Road, would this be because of the lighter evenings and so the cyclists who don't like cycling in the dark are coming out of hibernation?

I'm not in London but I noticed a fair few extra up here today; it could be becuse of BST.

When I first read this thread I thought to myself - nah, there aren't any more. Silly idea.

Went for a spin today, must have seen about 20 cyclists (usually less than 5) so I now agree that more people seem to be out

I saw more than usual.

One stood out, as she had a racing bike with the thinnest wheels I've ever seen, pedal cleats, and was going at about 25km/h along the flat. I was tempted to overtake, but I decided she'll probably get back into shape in a month and I'd regret her overtaking me every day!

it was lovely

and I came through Aldgate and there was noting other than a cloud of cyclists coming south towards Waterloo Bridge as I waited at the lights

Just had a rather miffed 3 year old at bedtime tonight – she’s normally fantastic, but just wouldn’t believe me it was bedtime at 7pm because “look daddy – it’s still morning”
TC starts to explain… her bottom lip starts to wobble “but it’s still morning – it’s not bedtime…” ran to mum and told her I’d upset her by lying – which made us all laugh and her cry more. Must have taken 10 minutes to convince her with help from older sister and some good old fashioned bribery (hot chocolate instead of milk). Head hit the pillow and out like a light…
