<hands out tea>

There is a light dusting of snow on the vast buddlia outside my office window. All the kiddies' wellies are lined up inside the front door. They are currently having a Q and A session on recycling. The guy in charge asks the Q and they all bellow the A....

oh, and of course, there were the usual squeals and exclamations when they discovered the compost toilets...

just read through this thread to get caught up, do I deserve a cup of tea, something stronger or medical help?

You've read it all?!;)

Have a cup of tea!

<passes cup>

I reckon we should publish it as a novel one day. It's all here, life, death, love, and biskits.

Hey, it's right snowy here now!:biggrin:

It's snowing here as well! I think I might have to leave the bike here and get the bus home:sad:.

Yeah, it's well blizzardy here, and hasn't stopped since about 11am.

Luckily, it's not so far home for me, so if the worst comes to the worst, I'll walk and push the bike. Although I quite like the Scott of the Antarctic look. Makes me look well 'ard...

MacBludgeon, you naughty thing you. And you've missed out on such wit and merriment! Here, have a cuppa, and start at the beginning. (you are allowed meal/sleep breaks...;))

I may have earned that tea under false pretenses, I did look at the number of pages though, honestly

If you join the tea thread, it is really very easy to pick it up.

You turn the teapost so that the handle faces you, and pour tea out gently ............

we also have tea cups so you can get a handle on those as well.

Shall I close the door behind me? ;)

I have a kind colleague who is going to give me a lift home. It's very snowy and slippery out there! If it wasn't for the cars, I'd be very tempted to give it a go though. It looks kind of fun:biggrin:. I'd be well in need of a cuppa by the time I got home I think!

well I've 'worked' at home all day, washing machine has been on twice so this evening is going to be spent ironing. I predict the usual round of complaints at my requests for all laundry, empty hangers and to put away the clean ironed piles. I am a hard task master, I demand that laundry is picked up from the floors of the bedrooms and deposited in a pile at the top of the stairs, for me to deal with. Insisting on this, massice imposition, has caused rows and even tears on occasions, but I don't let up. Whilst ironing I'll be mentally reviewing the new laminate flooring in the lounge and my weekend mission to complete laying it down the hallway and in the downstairs bathroom. Any time left over will go towards furthering the boarding out of the loft.

When I was young I used to think life would get more boring as I got older, oh how wrong I was

Here! I've had to go to page 2 to find Tea?

Made it home on 2 wheels last night, it was less than an inch of snow in the end, enough to cause traffic jams for cars for some reason, but us on bikes got about ok. Only got off and walked on one corner, where I'd had to stop for traffic lights and it was a hill start and I knew I wouldn't get any purchase in the slush. had to change my route this morning, when I found that the cycle path was sheet ice - I just took the road instead. It was funny, I was bombing along (well, by my standards), when I suddenly realised just how icy it was. Cue a very gentle but firm application of brakes to slow me down and a bit of a wobble to the nearest turning off. It was like when a cartoon character doesn't realise their tail is on fire until they see it...

Bit of a sad day for me today, so I'll just have a cuppa and sit here for a bit, and you can all make me laugh...
