Well, working at home, going for a ride to shops and long way back lunchtime, should be about 12 miles. Was looking forward to a game of golf at weekend but course currently closed:ohmy: Sitting here in my dressing gown with some toast and pate and a mug of pea & ham soup(proper stuff out of a tin and all that). Currently doing a trend analysis of 3 product groups over the last 3 years, wow my job can be exciting

As a non tea/coffee bod I tentatively proffer non-alcoholic carbonated beverages of your choice, all round:biggrin:

Morning All! Friday biccies are on the table!

Back on the bike this morning, an icy slithery walk to the main road, but plain sailing from there on in.

Regrettably, I must forgo the biscuits (yes, chocolate digestives - even you). Ate out last evening and courtesy of a fab main meal and the New York Cheescake dessert (very rare for me to have a dessert of that type, but it was a special treat), I have no desire to eat again before teatime tonight.

... well, I have desire, but no intention!

I was out for a meal last night as well. I usually leave room for a pudding, but this time we had one of those sharing Platters of starters, with deep fried breaded mushroom, breaded chicken goujons etc etc etc and garlic bread, and dips and tortillas, and then I had lasagne and more garlic bread. This meant a lack of appetite for dessert, so I asked for a extra spoon to have a smidgeon of others' puds.

At the Pump House this afternoon, next to the Reception Desk is the Tea/Coffee bar thingy with crisps, fairtrade/organic nutty bars, raisin bars, etc. I manage to resist until about 3pm when a small bar of choc appears in my hand. Who knew that could happen?

MacBludgeon, do you normally work from home? or is this a temporary situation?

I lack the quatro but my resemblance to the young guy in the ad is uncanny. The only differences are age, physique, hair, face, style, I found it quite spooky.

Did work from home for about 3 years, recent times have been office based, hence the 40 mile round trip commute. But I still have the work from home fallback position. This has benefitted my company recently as I couldn't physically have reached the office a few days. Nearly all of my work is unaffected by my location. When I fully worked at home I avoided the dressing gown til lunchtime situation. It also made a huge difference to our family life, we always had meals together, I saw the boys far more. Plus I could get a lot of little things done through the week thus freeing up the weekends more. I switched to cycle commuting because I was getting home too late, and too tired, to be bothered with exercise. This way I'm using that dead time to get my exercise, seems to work so far.

Just got myself a pepsi max, thirsty from all that typing

That sounds excellent, forty miles a day.

I am currently looking for work, three days a week would suit me fine, even if it included weekends. I have lots to keep me busy at home, tho, no time to get really bored.

I'm just marking time, my company is in administration, if I sit really still and quiet it's possible to hear the faint click of knuckle bones and the hissing swish of the scythe
