This is ridiculous. I went and looked as SJS for downtube cable stops for the Galaxy (want to change from down tube to twist shifters), then googled leather bar grips, and saw the price and reckoned I could do without, then remembered something else to check on SJS, so I clicked back to it....

And had completely forgotton what I wanted to look for!

I've remembered now, brake levers. I knew a visit to Tea? would help..

Hmm. Reckon I'll see what bargains, if any, I can find at the Rally.

Was thinking yesterday about leather mudflaps to match the Brooks, but looking for something else today found I had a pair of rubber ones, so that's sorted, for nothing. I'm starting to think this Galaxy is charmed, in terms of getting bits cheap...

Them's the very things. I used to get on ok with the downtube shifters, but after a couple of years of not using them, and using twistgrips instead, I reckon it'll just be less hastle to set it up like that. Assuming I can find twisters that are compatible with my gearing...

I really should start a list. I'll need skinnier tyres - it had had quite chunky ones put on, but they won't fit under my gold 'guards. And the old brake levers are a bit old and naff, I might swap them too...

Yes, you all deserve Tea LC for your defence of the Tea Thread in the thread about someone leaving . I have been reading it just now, but too tired to think of something ever so witty. A busy day at work, had to walk home, got a lift there, (guess who forgot to tax the c*r).

One of the students had a major mishap, and I could kick myself. I normally notice hazards from three hundred yards away, missed this one, and someone got injured.
