Yes:tongue:, I do have pate and cottage cheese.;)

Bit bloody cold outside though. I've not warmed up after this mornings ride.

Oh yes, there's pockets of frost not cleared here, where the sun hasn't got to.

And the refectory was open, so I had my cuppa. Just thinking about shopping on the way home... tinned tomatoes.... Yoghurt... Um... oh yes, anything reduced to a decent price.

It's like a lucky dip, for me, shopping.

Add onions, spices and (reduced meat) and you've got a (whatever was reduced) curry going on there.
Need a hand? I'll bring poppadums. And lager.

The tele****** engineers have not turned up.

Would you like to join me this evening? I am going to the local Thai restaurant for a meal. There is a fairly large group going, I am sure we could sneak in three more peeps, that's Arch, The Doctor and .....
;)

Good point! And if I remember yoghurt, it can be a nice creamy pasanda/korma type. In fact if there's no reduced meat, it can be a veg pasanda/korma - Ive got red pepper and courgette in the fridge. Oooh, I even have some cashews and pistachios in...

On the other hand, ooooh, a Thai meal. Would be a bit extravagent, I've already had a Chinese takeaway on Friday (although the cold leftovers were Saturday dinner, so I stretched it quite well) and a pub lunch yesterday - well, I went for the soup rather than the carvery, to save money, and I had leftovers to use up for dinner anyway. It was an odd soup. Cream of Veg they said, and it was creamy, but it also had little bits of grated carrot and stuff in it - if I make a cream of something soup, it ought to be blended smooth - it was like they'd added the grated carrot in after blending More like veg IN cream, not cream OF veg. Odd. By the time I'd spooned off the liquid, it looked like a I had a portion of soggy coleslaw left in the bottom. Or am I just fussy?

Tell you what, save me a chocolate mint from when they bring the bill....;)

I find most soups prepared by other peeps to be very salty. The way you describe the soup, it does not sound nice at all. I once had soup that had obviously been made up from a powder, you could still see the undisolved blobs in it. Unfortunately it was one of those occasions that you do not want to spoil by complaining about the food. Now when food is not right, I have no hesitation, in a polite way, of complaining and sending it back.

Yes I will save you a choccie. Their c*ff** is extremely strong, fresh ground, in fact in was probably mud this morning! ;)

The soup was Ok, just, a bit odd.

I got waylaid doing something, and as it's now after six, I can't be bothered to shop. I'll go tomorrow. Luckily, I have some fishfingers in the freezer, Mmmmmmm....

Kettle's on!
I'll be in the kitchen, if anyone wants anything hot.

*exits left, pursued by half a pig. In rashers.*
