Having met you, I'd say it's her loss. Silly woman. The only thing 41 is 'too old' for is going on a club 18-30 holiday, and I'd say that's a positive benefit!
Thanks for that, Arch. Her loss. Just shame about her gorgeous nose, I have a thing about noses.

I agree with Arch, on the basis that if a lady turns down the opportunity of meeting you just because of a smallish age gap, that is her loss.
We did meet the once. We were introduced a while back by a mutual friend and I also made her a wooden puzzle that she was really keen on, didn't even get a thank you for that. I eventually plucked up the courage to get some feedback from my friend and the response was that she thought I was really lovely but she wanted someone younger.

If I met someone I would describe as really lovely I wouldn't worry about 6 years. The average age of my ex's have been probably 8-10 years older then me.

Choices:
Tea?
Wine?
Guinness?

I think a few weeks ago, I was given a bottle of Russian Champagne. I say "think" because the writing is Cyrilic (sp?) so not easy to tell.

I do not suppose it will keep long , so perhaps I had better chill it for when it is needed. Is Valverde going to win the Tour de France?

Evenings! I've been checking out the pub at the end of the road. It has friendly bar staff and customers, a pleasant garden with a boules court / pitch / whatever it's called, and it sells second-hand books to raise money for the local hospice.
I may move in...

I wouldn't go cooking anything in your state!
I've just been watching 'Cabaret'. Brilliant film - life in hedonistic 1930s Berlin as the world rushes headlong to oblivion. The song 'Tomorrow Belongs to Me' still scares me. Especially after the Spitting Image on Election night some years ago where Thatcher and the cabinet were singing it in lederhosen.
God that was frightening. Norman Tebbit as a Nazi stormtrooper...
