Decisions, decisions, I have decided to go for a walk pootle. A local large village has an Open Gardens day. Sneaky peaky at other peep's gardens, some music, falconry displays, vintage vehicles, etc, possibly plants for sale, definitely tea and cakes and/or ice creams for sale. Do I purchase an ice cream and bring a cake home or vicky verky?

Could be a hectic afternoon, better take it steady. ;);)

Chuffy, are you ready for Monday? I hope the weather is kind to you.
Afternoons all! Am wedged full of roast dinner, courtesy of some chums and am currently staring with some dismay at the weather forecast for tomorrow...

Wind = WSW that roughly translates as a side/headwind for most of the way. Except for the bit where it's a straight headwind.

I may end up in an impromptu B&B somewhere past Glastonbury.

Weather's turned cold and windy, almost wintery, here. I've gone from tee shirt to thick fleece jumper.

Thank's, Longers, for helping me get the last lift onto my scaffold. Hope you had a good ride home.

Had fun today. I was about 10 miles into a ride with a neighbour when we came across three young lads on a mini scrambler (I hate these bikes with a passion). Under normal circumstances I would have called the 'old bill' but I decided to go one better. I stopped just in front of them and said "Just a heads up lads but the old bill are just down the road. They already got a couple of bikes in the van and have a few lads 'cuffed". They shat themselves and within a few seconds had vanished back from whence them had come. My neighbour was almost pissing himself with laughter.

Any tea on the go?

Oh dear, no one here this evening. I had a lovely afternoon wandering around a village and the gardens etc. There was a competition something along the lines of decorate a wheel barrow, sounds very twee, I know, but the results were very good, including one with old tea cups with plants in them.

Also, and I wish I had my camera with me. Someone had made/found tiny little doors, which they had put at the foot of trees or where branches joined the main trunk. I felt quite at home.

I also met someone, and could not resist the temptation to tell her to pull her socks up. She was selling raffle tickets, and to attract attention, she was dressed as a school boy.

You do not have to be potty to live in Worcestershire, but it helps.

Evening! Just finishing a cuppa. It's been a busy weekend so far and still lots to do. 20 mile walk yesterday and boy was I aching at the end, but it didn't stop me hobbling to the pub!

Good luck for tomorrow Chuffy.

Yes, an excellent day, lots of friendly people. There was a craft fair in the School Hall, and I chatted to a Needlework type person because she had her machine with her, and I wanted to know what brand of machine she had chosen. She was not the least bit bothered that I did not buy anything, I think she was just pleased to help someone who is interested in machine sewing.

There was also someone who had made metal plant pot holders in the shape of Penny Farthings, about two feet tall.

Morning! There's fresh tea on the go. I wouldn't touch the hot cross buns though. They are slightly, um, overdone. (I hate having to get used to a new oven:wacko:).

Good morning HelenD123 et al. Tea is just perfect but I agree the buns are more like "rock cakes" (The hot cross ones not your own ;))

Ooohh, fresh tea. Just what I need right now.
I have finally got back on line. I have been sorting out my laptop since 8pm last night.
It was running really slow with the processor on 100% even when nothing was apparently running. I ended up re installing Vista, then reformatting the hard drive and reinstalling again and then repartitioning the hard drive and reformatting and reinstalling until it was right. I am shattered now despite getting a bit of sleep around 3am ish.
