If you can do it in one go why not!
You had time to recover fully.

It will heal! The power of positive thought can do wonders. Still not willing to tell you how long though, just in case you get yer hopes up.

It's the stupid way they have of doing them now. Takes at least three times as long. One team comes out and delivers the barriers, they might even mark out the area to be fenced off. Then another that'll put the barriers in place, another that does the digging, another doing the work. Then it's repeat in reverse order.
Then there's blocking half the road off for the above to be done, "in safety". If there were anyone working on them, they might have a case.

Rain that was falling most of the day, now stopped and skies have cleared. No white black cars at present.

A silent night, awaiting the repeat tomorrow...
You feel you've earned the coffee?

Previous reply seems to have disappeared.
Nice today again, 1.1c just now and got as low as -0.3c so officially :cold:
Just waiting on the young 'uns arriving..
Out for toast somewhere, surely not a garden centre:laugh:

Health and safety has gone nuts over the last 20 years but it is needed.
In the years I sprayed weedkillers etc,
Half the time was used up by washing down, fresh stuff on etc, you did need PPE.
We had a bonus system in place, all spraying activity was put in as hours spent.
I had a query, so I said meet me at the base and spend a day with us...
They gave up at lunchtime with a carry on..
Right em aff, trouble x2 have arrived....
No need to shout, or has your hearing suffered today?

No, but I almost switched it off as they were so bad..

Similar here, with a slight covering of snow in the early hours. Slowly melting as we get close to 5°C. They don't show on time, go without them*, that'll improve their timekeeping.
*Hide the car, and stay away from anywhere they might see you from outside.
It might be, you'll have a tree to buy. And a brekkie to get.

Health and safety has gone nuts, I agree. But it doesn't cover the fact that four, possibly five teams are now required to dig a hole in the road. Or, more along your line of expertise, half the road has to be shut to allow them to cut the grass. The lot in the town centre just want free parking, just so they don't have to walk from the carpark the council gave them to park in.
They didn't seem to mind about H and S riding quad bikes with a tank mounted on it, on the pavements whilst spraying or blowing the grass out of the way. Seemed to forget the foot in footpath then.
They use a "cleansing facility" round these parts. In dirty at one end, out clean at the other. Where you store a clean set of clothes I don't know, as there's one entrance and one exit.
You were used to all the washing off/down by the time you were teaching them. Now yer love of the "jet wash" becomes clear. Reliving old times.
Enjoy yer trip out...

They were misbehaving, I'd not stand for it if I were you. Hide the remote! First to find it gets to choose what to watch.

Thought that was known the night before?
Will you be going, assuming you'll have no trouble entering the country.

Kids didn't want to go out...
so we stayed in.....
I'm attempting some 'printing' work for a pal..
One of the main bases done, I'm 95% happy with it and have six things printing just now, but the programme advised 'supports', but I'm seeing if these will print without them, two pieces I'm not confident of, but I can remedy that, I hope.
Aye, quad, most certainly don't work to wx conditions. I've seen some pretty poor spraying done.
Trying to miss some stuff.....etc.
When we did the A road dual carriageway, we closed one lane from back of 9 until just after, road had to open at 3.30 pm...you could work any nearer than a metre and a half from the roadside if not coned off, as if you weren't in danger if you were 1.5 m from the road?

Anyhow, off to prepare tomorrow's work...

He can talk about being fat.
You've not said anything that might upset him?

You should have sent them out. As you were when you were their age...
You stayed in, no snowman built for the kids...
You sound confident on the printing front, 95% happy with what you've printed, and now printing without supports!
Why they needed a quad to spray the pavements I never fully understood. The edge of the greens seemed to be an extra if they hit them.
They went back to the knapsack sprayers, but battery powered for last year. None seen this year.
Blimey, those doing the grass cutting here this summer have just caught up with how you were doing things. Even though they weren't actually working at the time.
Just added to the chaos caused by lane closures for the roadworks.

Have fun...

As we say up here, the man is a fud.....(I'm holding back here)
I wouldn't take an all-expenses-paid visit over there.
I'm open to offers in Europe if you will also pay my medical insurance:laugh:.

The base doesn't need supports. Each base is different, so base no. 2 is printing just now, and the smaller pieces managed to print okay without supports. Still, the blueprints are baffling me, so I'll just repeat the same bits file as last night's and can see if anything is missed. I got 2 base files and 5 smaller pieces files, so I did them on one print, so a batch in each bag, then we'll see.. Base no 2 still has just over 6 hours to print.

We used the CDA sprayers, which are good for edges etc but knapsacks for areas, you cannot beat, a much cheaper method per m2 or linear metre. Weight-wise ?, CDA ...
Quads are consistently too fast and don't take account of wx conditions. I stopped the last one i saw and asked what they were spraying, the answer? weedkiller. Ah, what is the brand name and active ingredient and why aren't you wearing PPE? He just drove off:laugh:

Lunch time.....

You were there when they were picked up, saving a trip back to pick you up before heading out.
Coffee and toast all round?
GC or McD's for this extravagansa?
I'll try, you do the same...
Aye, a few white black cars again this morning. Someone tried the contents of a kettle trick on their car this morning.

Holding back in case he's someone checking, and in the off chance that you may yet travel that way. If only passing through.
Can you get to mainland europe without crossing water. Stranger things have happened so you never know.

Yer printing two lots. One a backup, just in case? Maybe they were being cautious with their instructions, when they included the supports in the print. Or hsd summat happen when they didn't use them.
The second lot printed with the supports. And hope you end up with the same bits. Suppose there's summat missing...
Base two will be nearly finished now I take it.

They saw the quads as a quicker way of getting the job done methinks. But failed to take into account not all paths were wide enough. Especially if there's someone actually walking on the path.
I asked once, whilst trying to pass them on the quad, what they were spraying and got told salt. "We stopped using weedkillers years ago". In which case what you're spraying won't be much good. Which it never was. Asked about the lack of PPE and just got a blank stare.

Tea time now...
If I'd remembered to press post earlier.

Two different type of bases...
But the fittings were the same,
One was going to be a straight morse key, and the other a micro bits one, Google it
The print of all the extras printed okay without supports luck enough.
Bloke arrives at 15.00 to pick up so I better go get ready...
Technically the quads can work well but if used willy nilly in all weathers...
Just back from the W but almost -3 the overnight low....
