On a half hour climb like this, I pretty much disregard pacing myself, I kind of just give it everything for nearly all of the ride. Might just ease up for a second for a drink or a draft, but then charge off again.
That was the highest I've had my HR, and it felt like it too.
It is pure competitive nature that drives me. If I am a minute or so ahead and behind people, I tend to zone out and ease up. But when I see that glimmer of opportunity like I did with Bridgy last night, I will die trying.
I can totally believe that of you mate.
From the time I've started training on here I've seen you consistently attack the people ahead of you on the road to the point where you're now right amongst it! I've got a lot of respect for that.
From my perspective, the likes of you, kipster and bridgy etc are a decent chunk of time ahead of me on the road. With Bill, bob, Rick etc a small margin still further away.
I love coming on here for a laugh and a joke, the amount of times I laugh out loud reading the nonesense on here is rediculous.
But ultimately I want to push myself as hard as possible, I want techno coloured canary for breakfast god dammit!! And to do that I think I have to analyse my effort a little bit. Not enough where it gets boring, but enough to try and stay ahead of you b@stards!!!
