Bit of a cock up tonight.

Mrs GW went off to watch Sheffield Weds, and I couldn't resist the smell from the chippie while walking the dog.

Got well confused at the start with the 'h' in the password, so started at least a couple of minutes after my scheduled start time, so no real chance of getting involved.

I had to go like the clappers. I was trying to burn off 2 packs of jammy dodgers!

I thought you were going to catch me on the flat bob. I could here you in my ear whispering "I'm commin to git ya boy!" (I appreciate you're not actually from the deep south of America but that's the voice I was hearing in my panicked head...)

Yeah, my best Deliverance impression while I tried to chase down Bert Reynolds^_^

I was having to bury myself on the downhills where you clearly had the advantage so not enough power left on the flat. I am going to have to try some of those jamie dodgers!

First time since the update for me, does feel a bit different. Or rather the Watts do seem to under read to what I think I'm putting in effort wise....not that it's an issue, since we are all in the same boat, just a bit disorientating. Bill...what can I say...had no chance of keeping up with you when you turned that key in the ignition.
And Bob...you too...rinsed me within about 3 miles. Although the disconnections were a bit off putting, but seemed to settle down once I screamed at the kids to stop playing on their tablets in bed and go to sleep.

Adds, you kept me at bay for long enough that I thought you were going to be strong tonight and we could draft our way to the front and Keep Bill and LBHIFI at bay. Those drop outs seemed to take the wind out of you though. Very frustrating for you though you did get to shout at the kids. Glad I am not the only one who does it for the same reason:laugh:

Link to the new chaingang if you want a nosey.

League covers 6 weeks - standard stages each week as usual plus two additional sprint stages to be done at any time.

The two additional bonus short stages will remain open for 2-3 weeks each to give time to sneak in a quick session - warm up well before doing either of them!!!!

Love the inclusion of the sprint sessions, great idea. Since only a few seconds separated Bridgy and I last time, it could even come down to one of these.

I have been off the bike for over a week, and thought I would be fresh as a daisy, but it didn't play out quite like that. Found it quite hard, but yes, I was planning on trying to stay with you as long as I could, but the disconnections couldn't have come at a worse time. I find it very hard to push beyond my limits without an opponent in the crosshairs.

Well it was kind of hard to see what watts you were making in the replays Adam. I can only assume that there were a lot of them especially in the first half where I didn't seem to be catching you at all. In fact I think you opened out the gap to over 2.5 mins at one point and I think I may have cursed a bit (and not necessarily at you) but then I seemed to pull you in a bit on the next hill, but you always fought back to the point where I had to take another rest before attempting another attack. In a way the downhills helped me a lot because although I couldn't catch anyone, they gave me enough rest to attack hard when it flattened out a bit. The new HRM is actually helping me to know when my HR has fallen low enough to go for it again.

Just had a sneak peek and kind of wish I hadn't number 5 especially looks cruel.

Think I better carry on with the diet to ready myself for that one.

Well done all. J Law, I thought I'd get you at the end for sure, but I think you saw me coming and gave it the berries. Looked to me like you beat me by half a second or so.
I was vaguely aware you were closing in, but I was mostly trying to catch Monte who seemed to lose some steam over that last half mile allowing me to close the gap. I had no idea it was that close until I watched the replay.

Sadly I think I'll likely miss next week due to conflicting meeting and the following week due to business travel.

@JLaw was I mistaken or did you get a proper start without the previous KICKR problems?
I wasn't paying close enough attention to the start to know. So I went back and looked at the charts for this run and the prior run.

In last week's run I can clearly see no speed data for about the first .15 miles. Then it starts to register at 15.2mph and I hit 22mph at about the .3 mile mark, laying down ~350 watts.

This week's run shows me immediately at 19mph and increasing up to ~22mph again at about the .3 mile mark. Wattage is probably comparable, though distributed differently.

However, I also was able to spin up completely before being dumped into the race this week -- last week I wasn't fully spun up.

So it looks like it's been fixed, but there's some lingering doubts.

OK, Handicap in 10 minute countdown, scheduled for start five seconds before 8pm...

OK, 6 seconds before 8pm!

You may well have to type "h" twice when you enter the password, as it will take the first one as a request to open the help text! :banghead:

P.S. Has anyone else noticed the top right hand corner is partially covered by a white box since the bsim upgrade? Makes it hard to see the time. etc.
Appologies for missing this last night. Looked like a good one. I had issues with my internet link :cursing:. Lost service and it didn't come back on any of the devices :banghead:.

I think I may join the autobus on the Alpe tonight, if it runs .

I'm really having to push hard on the downhill sections, otherwise I seem to get dropped which I find strange considering my weight and how the inertia system works ??? I backed off as I knew the finish was going to be close with Jlaw & Bill.

Are we still on for d'heuz this evening and can someone confirm what time and who's going to start it so we can make sure we are in the right ride. ps i'm happy to start it if no other volunteers.
