I'm really having to push hard on the downhill sections, otherwise I seem to get dropped which I find strange considering my weight and how the inertia system works ??? I backed off as I knew the finish was going to be close with Jlaw & Bill.

Are we still on for d'heuz this evening and can someone confirm what time and who's going to start it so we can make sure we are in the right ride. ps i'm happy to start it if no other volunteers.
You kept pulling away from me on the downhills mate, and I was giving it beans too.

I should be good for 20:00 tonight - Monte are you ok to start it off, as I don't trust myself after last night's cock ups.

Also, similar to @theboxers if I fall back from the pack, just leave me and I'll trundle up the hill at my own pace, or catch a later bus with whoever is around.

So I go away for a few days, and yes, maybe I had a couple of beers of an evening, a Cornish Pasty or two perhaps, and maybe even an ice cream. But to see when logging back in to Bkool - "Too bad!Your physical condition has decreased" is a bit harsh!

@RickB thanks for setting up the Spring League sessions - looks a great mix of rides. I'll certainly try and do as many as I can, even though as the weather (hopefully) improves I'll be out in the real world as much as possible too.

When I started on the Bkool I fully expected to be putting it away for the Spring/summer but I now realise I get a much more intensive, high HR workout in the races that I can't really replicate in the real world very easily so I will try and use the chaingang and handicap races to keep that side of my fitness up at least.

With the trainer set up in the conservatory, I might have to turn the fan up a notch though......:heat:

No worries - I agree that it gives you a workout that's hard to match in the real world! Building better endurance now by getting some longer rides under my belt outdoors but able to suffer better due to my Bkool sessions!

Dont think I could do it in a conservatory in the Summer - a pool of sweat under the bike after that surely!!
Club season is kicking off this week with a TT and then another next week, followed by my first ever Club Race the week after!! :bicycle::bicycle::bicycle:

Link to the new chaingang if you want a nosey.

League covers 6 weeks - standard stages each week as usual plus two additional sprint stages to be done at any time.

http://www.bkool.com/classification/showIndividualLeagueClassification/1816

The two additional bonus short stages will remain open for 2-3 weeks each to give time to sneak in a quick session - warm up well before doing either of them!!!!

I am probably being very stupid Rick but how do i view the new league rides? If i follow your link and click on individual rides i don't get profiles or anything. Do i need to copy to favorites? it cannot be that clumsy surely? I can be that clumsy though:rolleyes:

Oh, and ta for the research and setting this up Amigo:okay:

I plan to start the d'heuz stage for 8 o'clock, same format of 10 minutes warm up.

Agree with everyone else no racing tonight but how are we going to pace the ride ??? or should we just go with the flow and see how it turns out

I've always wondered the same! Only other (clumsy) way I've done it is to copy the name, go to sessions and paste the name into the search box to find it - always thought there MUST be an easier way!

Save the stage to favorites. You will the be taken there by the site. Click on the box on the right hand side of the line to view the stage profile. When done, back click to favorites. Unhighlight the star for the for the line to remove stage from favorites.

Clunky but it works

What boxers said really. It is clunky -this is bkool after all!

Frustrates me not being able to view the courses easily too. Thankfully they have modified the search function so that if I have a look at a course but want to go back to the search page I can. Previously it reset itself and I had to do a new search EVERY TIME!!

Re:chaingang sessions

From memory there's a flat course, a return of a previous course which is flat then a wall at the end. Another roller coaster type stage.:B) A proper mountain stage. One sprint hill and one flat sprint stage -ideal for rerunning with ghosts; I can see some redoing that one a few times!

I like to give variation to the suffering.

Thanks Monte - I think with the likely mix of talent that turns up it is going to be hard for us all to stay together all the way up, so we will probably have to play it by ear

When I realise I am struggling I will disappear of the back quite quickly, so please don't hang about for me.
