How come some times on the leader boards for the climbs are crazy is it just due to people having bad set-ups and not very accurate power readings?

Also managed a new ftp on alpe d'huez hitting 5.5 w/kg for 20 mins and then my trainer dropped and sessions stopped :angry:

I finally got the results from my first time trial of the year. I managed a top 5 in my age group, which puts me well within the first 25%. It a good indication that I would have a fair chance of qualifying for the world championships.
I didn't quite achieve my goal of a top 20 place (24), but with the quality of the competition that day, maybe I should be satisfied anyway. The first 8 places were taken by cat 1 riders, followed by a few champions in their category. Not a lot of time separating us...10 seconds faster and I would have got my top 20.

Since I have lost the chance of qualifying for the world championships when they decided to cancel the danish gran fondo, my new goal for this season is to beat the danish ladies time trial champion. This time she beat my by one second:cursing:... Last time she got my by 2 seconds:cry:, but next time:evil:

Great result :thumbsup:

I hope you're feeling on top form for tonight's TTT as well - you did a great job of dragging me along last time! Go Team Blue :boxing:

I know what you mean about the ridiculously fast times on some of the Bkool leaderboards, but I don't know why this is - I did think it may be that the person rode the course but didn't complete it, although it doesn't record my times on leaderboards where I've stopped early so I guess it must be something else?

Ah. I have now :eek:

So, if I'm reading that right, it's the same height gain as Alpe d'Huez but 3.5km shorter so a lot steeper. That'll be fun to race you guys up.....

What :cursing::cursing::cursing::cursing: :crazy:

I think I've just decided when my next holiday will be - Mrs GW and myself will be looking for a break away from 31st April to 13th May.:sun:

An expensive plan to avoid the pain of that one.

Looks I won't be cycling tonight after all. I know that will be a great disappointment to team white seeing as I bring so much to the table, lol, but this cold has come back with a sore throat added in so I'm just going to sit it out this time but hopefully will be ready for the next one. Don't like missing out on the action as its about the only exercise I enjoy!
