As winter has returned here - snow and strong wind - I'm thinking of getting the bike back on the trainer.
If it all works I'd like to join the TTT tonight. Is the aim to cycle as a team, or to just go as fast as pos, as usual?
I could start with Team Not Red, and accept that I will be promptly dropped, or start with Team Green. What would you advise Geoff?

Thanks, but I have a huge advantage using a dedicated TT bike, speed suit and TT helmet (and shaved legs ^_^). I'm sure you would take a healthy leap up the rankings with this equipment.

Lars have you kept the laminar hair lines to keep air flow smooth over the legs?

Apparently this is the latest fluid dynamics technology.

I am too early in my TT adventure to consider TT bike suit or shaven legs. I just want to be mid pack in my age group this year. I managed to get within 20 secs last week on my cyclo cross bike with my peers on TT setups. So here is hoping I can get there!

Still got beat by a girl- only joking:biggrin: Fantastic result to be at the pointy end of national competition. I cant beat the local Tri athlon women who can average over 25mph for the 10TT, with me struggling to get to 25mph
I'm not going much faster than that. I'm hoping to go beyond 26 mph this season.

Anyone ever tried good ebike on a climb? Experiences? Just curios on how much easier that would be. Have been discussing this with someone.

@Rod McG I'm sure you would be a welcome addition to Team Not Red, judging by your time on the chain gang run of Pico Penas.

The aim is to cycle as a team, and work together to get the fastest possible time for your third rider to cross the line.

The format is with a Handicap, so Team Not Red should all start together, 4:30 into the race (the time underway should show 4:30, when you join the race). This should be roughly 08:04:30 pm.

Hope you enjoy it!

Team green - who's in tonight,@berty bassett @Soarerv8 @Insomina @bazzer99 - I've noticed our start time has been clipped - start time 2.30

Start Times are all carefully calculated from the fastest time of your third fastest rider in the previous Handicap results for this course.
If I got them right it should be chaos at the finish! :hyper::evil:

The winning team should be the one that gains the most be working together...

Right on overall goal of pulling the 3rd rider across in the quickest time possible and the difficulty in drafting on anything where the gradient changes.

It's not clear to me if we're running "Spin round the block with Liam" or "Pico Penas de Dois".

If it's the latter, then we need to have our 3rd rider out in front of the other teams when we start the long downhill. It's awful hard for them to catch us on that downhill *and* our rider can rest on that downhill before we pull them to the finish.

Ooops, that's because I've made a boo-boo! :shy:

It is Kipster's Kalamity tonight, so I'm quickly reviewing the Handicaps... I'll get back to you all!
