Well my bkooling toady was probably just as much a failure if not more. I took 72 hours rest, sure that this would help me blitz my time on Berge von Kölle 6x so set off after AAAC's ghost about 5:30 today. Almost immediately AAAC got an obscene lead on me, well over a minute on the first ascent and I was digging in a best as I could. I had started off hoping I could win but this quickly turned into hoping that I could beat my own time.
Anyway, much suffering and overheating later I crossed the line a minute down on my previous time .

And for my previous time I had too much tyre pressure and had to stop to let air out, and I had only had 24 hours rest beforehand. It doesn't make any sense
I experienced the same thing...twice. Looked to be the old wormhole rather than a slingshot. There's no doubt AAAC is the right man in 1st though.
AAAC, I don't understand why you say you can't keep up with me and Bill on the downhills. I was peadling like a madman downhill, and still struggled not to loose time. It looks like you just freewheeled down :B). I could really have used the extra energy uphill :heat:.

Oh to be 85kg. I'm 5ft 10 and around 92kg. Mind you, I was 105kg last September so could be worse. Hoping to get into the 80's soon:wahhey:

You've done really well Tim, and you're a much much stronger cyclist that last year. Remember that late season 40 miler....

I think I've just consolidated 78kg (down from 80), waiting a few more days before I adjust bkool (I needs to get through the weekend unscathed!)

@Goldwolfie

Ask the seller what firmware it is currently running. Some of the earlier Pro's would not upgrade and they are stuck on really old firmware. This also means no ANT+ F-EC so no using it with Zwift and/or trainer road.

I'd make sure you get a pro already updated to 3.06 firmware (or later).

Geoff
Just noticed my turbo trainer is running Version 2.62.....does this mean I have one of those antiquated ones you are talking about?

I reckon that's the simulator version, not the firmware version!

Look in the ant+ section of the about text in the simulator.

Cheers Paul. Certainly feel a lot fitter and lighter. Soon start putting it to the test on the open road. I do remember that ride last year. Those last 10 miles were torture :heat:

Well I'm not going to argue with you either!
I'd did once cycle into the back of a car and the outcome was probably similar.
Why did I do that? I was on a hand me down Raleigh RSW16 (it had a Sturmey Archer 3 speed hub, a built in dynamo and and integrated bag on a pannier rack at the back, the business) and I was proud has punch having fitted a mileometer to the front spindle which worked by a tab fixed to a spoke knocking a cog on the mileometer round.
I was just watching to see the first mile clock up when bang!

PS: My previous bike was a Moulton 1970 Junior and that's my sister on the RSW16 who handed the bike down to me.
PSPS: For Soarer the picture of the RSW16 with my sis' was taken in our back porch!
Think I might know your sister, lovely girl, met her at the Earl of Frobisher's place once.

Lars, on that Loch Ness Monster course I did cruise the downhills because I was out front and could afford to . I might set up a test session so we can compare our freewheel speeds for a given weight and our speed for a given power. I'll do it on my Pro and Classic for further 'interest'.
I think I have hit a couple of wormholes recently and from my end I am just flying up the hill a ridiculous speeds. So much so on the course in question I deliberately backed off to try and give some of my advantage back

Sorry, that was the BSim, my firmware is V3.06., But I have no FEC option, how do I get that?

Settings and untick auto and you are then presented with manual search options for turbo, cadence etc and let it search and then tick turbo etc once found.

Just depressed myself again. Not quite down to where I was before Christmas (was below 130kg). But it is going back down. I'm only,, 2.5 kg from having to adjust my weight @131.4kg.

Of now to do a few sessions :bicycle::B) :surrender:
The weight is obviously an important part of it but I would hazard a guess that all of this cycling has increased your cardiovascular activity lowered your blood pressure and made attacking stairs a damn sight easier. Keep it up, if it was easy everyone would do it.
