@bobinski :cursing:

@TurboTommy - no, of course I wasn't taking it easy - I refer you to my post at 9.07 this morning.....

And NO I WON'T be doing the Saturday re-run!!

:okay:

You went off like a bullet Bridgy. Someone tried to convince me you would slow but that never happened. I was going to bail 1/2 way though due to overheating but after my posting today I feared a backlash if I did^_^ glad I kept going. I doubt I will do the rerun but if I do I will try and stay in the big ring. Too easy to get caught in the wrong gear otherwise. Well, for me anyway.

Well done Bob! Good effort, but not nearly as good as the job I've done on myself. Yesterday it was a definite no no for me, but today I'm recovering fast and thinking I can probably do it after all. Had I been feeling better I might have ridden tonight too, but seeing as I still have slight pain I'm giving myself more recovery time.
This might be a little cryptic, but suffice to say that I was in agony yesterday with what felt like a bruised kidney, but seeing as I hadn't actually slammed it against anything I can only assume that there was some foul play going on, and that "someone" had bet their savings on Adam winning on Sunday ;)

I understand there's been a run on drawing pins, in mid Wales, purchased by cyclechat members. Make sure you have the puncture resistant tyres on :bicycle: :bicycle::bicycle:

Brilliant work! And you saved yourself a scathing response to your 'longish ride' comment. I decided to respond to this post instead. You can expect an uploaded voice recording of Bridgy saying how he wished he hadn't done the ride tonight, from somewhere out in the Boonies in mid wales.

That's not a nice course. I literally came in the back door threw my togs on and started the ride. I was still putting my glove and wrist support on when I was going up the first climb. Yet again I was pushing so hard in the climbs I had no alternative but to rest on the descent and in doing so I think I ended up with more to put into the climb transition so I made up more than my losses on the descent.
I was trying so so hard to get onto the same climb as Bob because it was getting so depressing seeing the gap go up by two minutes when I was going down and he was going up and then when both Bridgy and then Bob had gone all of my carrots were gone and those last few minutes chasing air was pergatory.

All very mysterious Bill. Dolls or effigies and pins come to mind:ohmy:
It's a nasty little ride, like the similar one about 6 weeks ago, with the daliesque landscape and bumpy road.

I usually untick bots at least, as sometimes the session was saved with some setup and they are a pain in a multi-user ride. I would clear ghosts as well, unless you specifically planned to have some. As you say, the main one is real atmospheric details, as riding in the dark quickly gets tiresome.

You either have to pedal for the full 10 minutes, or not at all!

If you don't pedal at all while you start the session, then it (usually) counts down fully unless you start pedaling and then stop. When I do the Handicaps I start the sessions without ever being on the bike, and the count down runs fully and the race starts at the 10 minute interval.

Geoff

PS Geoff my weight handicap ride has turned up, it was hidden in my PC and uploaded today!
