Blimey, I haven't seen 4 mph since the days of early BKooling on 25% just to be overtaken by Pro riders (like BiilS esq) seemingly unaffected by the wall.

I saw 3.5 mph for long periods tonight.

I did a rerun of Stage 4 as my first ride with the new firmware and software updates.

Boy did I find a difference from last Thursday night - 17 minutes slower and I was just as knackered at the end - 99% effort tonight against 104% last week.

I crawled up that climb at the end and thought I was never going to make it.

I also found the flatter bits more challenging that before the update.

It's probably a little more realistic for us heavier chaps, but I think I may have to look at less challenging rides in the future, because tonight wasn't a great deal of fun.

I'll be interested to see how the rest of the troops find the new updates.

I do hope so. In the meantime have a look at Zwift. The training workouts are really good, lots of variety to help in achieving different training goals.
Yea, I've poked a bit at zwift. I think the graphics and ride physics are better, but that's largely expected due to ability to focus on a much smaller course rather than anything someone uploads or the courses set up by bkool themselves. The addition of the mountain stage in zwift was a huge step forward for those of us who want/need to climb. If zwift had the mountain course this time last year, I might have settled on zwift rather than bkool.

I'm not sure if I'm ready to make the jump to zwift or not. I still like the ability to come reasonably close to replicating rides around here and doing them after the munchkins are in bed (and I've got 3 video climbs to sync with gpx tracks and upload to bkool). But the better physics and a significant mountain to climb make switching a real possibility at some point. ERG mode is just icing on the cake -- I don't currently use it anywhere, but as I contemplate going on a training plan to keep my goals on track I can see how it'd be amazingly helpful.

Bob, where are you going to get chance to have a breather or swallow a bunch of Jelly Babies? High power all the way to get a good time! Another session where I will ride on heart rate, this will give me a log of difference between BK Pro and the Kickr. At the moment it looks/feels like 400W on the Pro is 350W on the Kickr

Hi there guys, gals and those who aren't sure what they want to be. I'll be there tonight. I took my respite after the London Revolution a little too seriously and haven't been on the bike since so this should be 'fun'

See if you can get the latest firmware and software downloaded otherwise you might be at a disadvantage ;)
