That was tough, more mentally than physically but that was hard enough-90%. I couldn't figure out when I came off a descent at high speed I would literally grind to a halt in speed generally 4mph and once or twice or saw 2mph briefly. I would then have to build speed back up. Also when a climb percentage dropped from 4% to 2%, you would think it would get easier but no, the resistance remained constant.

flat speed seems spot on

I was feeling pretty dejected by half way, AAAC thanks for the encouragement in latter part, I needed a lift and put in an effort to finish strong :okay:

Suffice to say the KIckr with bkool is a problem and not on a par with the Pro

Karma for breaking a Pro trainer:laugh:

Andy,
I had speed drop like that as I came off descents into inclines. It is quite abrupt but not dissimilar to real life cycling. Are you talking about descents into the flat?

That was certainly different. I believe I got more downhill blue speed than I've seen before but whoa those hills were, well hilly. The speed dropped off like a stone and the resistance piled on like i was a human game of Buckaroo.

I think its become more realistic but I only got 76% effort which I think was a little harsh.

Descent into short inclines, speed seems to scrub off too fast, the number drop really low, then I have to build it back up. It maybe that I am not catching it right and should have alot more power before the descent finishes, The Kickr does just that, I nearly puked going up the 14%

Similar is now happening with the bkool too - maybe not as extreme as you're getting on your kickr though?

Just seen bridgy's post and I agree. I think I went up the 14% at 3mph^_^

Just completed stage 5 after updating the firmware to v3.10 and what a difference that has made. So much tougher now. Speed down, watts down, no coasting on the flats any more, it slows down so quickly and definitely no more favourable blue numbers. Feels like my fitness has dropped but I'm sure it hasn't. Oh well I suppose it's the same for everyone judging by what everyone's said on here - just gonna be a whole lot tougher from now on. :heat::sweat::banghead::wacko:

From Bike Calculator (Bike 9kg = BKool default bike weight) with clinchers and on hoods:
Rider 75kg and 14% gradient and no wind (forget other conditions for now)
at 450 watts Speed = 7.84 mph
at 400 watts Speed = 7.00 mph
at 350 watts Speed = 6.15 mph
at 300 watts Speed = 5.29 mph
at 250 watts Speed = 4.42 mph
at 200 watts Speed = 3.55 mph
