A very good example to Whorty's Mrs why this emoji exists in a cycle forum

My wife says I can buy a new turbo![]()
....it's got to be worth a try
Have you got an older Classic with a black roller and a USB B (printer style connection) input.
I have and it is not updatable to the ANT+ FEC standard and so the Firmware 2.04 always fails and if you can't get to 2.04 you won't get the latest update (I don't think).
I got some tele help from BKool and they said I had a fault on my PCB, it was out of warranty, and offered me a replacement for something like 50 euro + 50 euro shipping + 25 euro for the setup on-line.
I passed on this and thought nothing more before I bought my Pro bits second hand to find they wouldn't update either.
BKool wanted me to send the whole turbo back this time at my cost because the Trainer was out of warranty because it had been opened and was second hand and the warranty is not transferable. I deduced from that that early Classic were also no longer supported for updates and in fact there was nothing wrong with my PCB other than being too old.
He thinks, good idea for a League!
Climb Alp d'Huez and other iconic mountains whilst consuming a bottle of the local red and a tube of Pringles.
That idea could lead to multiple stage evenings run over the whole week or perhaps even month.
Like my first pro. Sold to me as a new unit that should be updateable but wasn't so I got my money back after almost a year. It was a bloody good unit though and went faster with a higher watts readout. When I got my more recent updateable unit direct from bkool I could never quite get those same watts so stayed as Active until we (or rather, Rick) found that ride that gave us all higher readings. Thanks @RickB
What I'm trying to say is that if you buy second hand units or parts you never quite know what you're getting unless the person selling can tell you what firmware version they're on. Or worse still, you might be getting an ex wiggle one.
Sorry @wiggle, I don't really mean it and love you for everything else except bkool stuff.
I got mine from Bkool on an interest free deal. Might be worth approaching them?Almost bought one from waggle as well as the price was right and they do monthly payments too (or rather have a willing finance company in tow).
I'm still waiting for the final cost of fixing the mini cooper, saw her today in the menders all in bits, and it looks like I was lucky I took her in when I did as there was some secondary damage just waiting to happen.

The trouble with cars is that they are evil and will consume all the money that is needed for your bikes and turbos. That is what we have rule #25 for. I must admit that I also apply the rule to turbo training and now that the time has come to replace the car I am really struggling. Unfortunately looks like I'm going to have to pretend that I own a kickr to avoid breaking the rule but there's definitely one or two decent 2 litre older petrol cars out there I should have a look at.
Don't worry Bob. By the time next year comes round I should have got it just about road worthy.![]()
My pro from wiggle has been ok, the classic I had gave up the ghost at 11 months but they refunded the money.Like my first pro. My MG B is currently languishing in bits in the garage, it glares at me everytime I go for a turbo ride. I promise it that one day soon she will work again, once I've swapped the dizzy, welded the sills and replaced the headlamps.
I have one of the late model classics. It has the improved ridged roller and usb mini connector.Have you got an older Classic with a black roller and a USB B (printer style connection) input.

They have totally fubar'd the M25 between the A3 (jct 10) and A22 (jct 6), anticlockwise, since they turned on the overhead controls. It used to flow fairly well, now not so much. It has gotten a lot worse in the last 6 months, when they turned on the controls,With the increase in controlled speed motorways etc it soon won't be worth buying a performance car soon unless you track it, let alone the price of gas.
