They have totally fubar'd the M25 between the A3 (jct 10) and A22 (jct 6), anticlockwise, since they turned on the overhead controls. It used to flow fairly well, now not so much. It has gotten a lot worse in the last 6 months, when they turned on the controls, .

Pray tell me Sir what you mean exactly by 'the overhead controls'.
I use the M25 (South) a few times a year visiting folk in Kent or going to Gatwick and I often cruise along at 85 until I hit the M26 where I test to see how much petrol I can use before the M20.
Do I need to put some sheepskin car seat covers on and drive more sedately in order to keep my bit of plastic with a photo on it?

I think he means, overhead variable speed limits and gantry rear facing digital cameras on each lane

Climb Alp d'Huez and other iconic mountains whilst consuming a bottle of the local red and a tube of Pringles.
That idea could lead to multiple stage evenings run over the whole week or perhaps even month.

Could I suggest we do this as a team event, one of us, me, consumes the food / drink before one of the scrawnier chaps gets to the top of the mountain.

Probably even better as a spectator sport the other way round

40 years ago I bought a Austin Healy sprite for $100 then later owned a midget but have no idea what a dizzy is. The Google is no help. On the Bkool front I saw the orthopedic doctor yesterday and got a steroid shot in my knee and am following up with a 6 day course of strong stuff so I may flunk the PED test but hope to ride again soon. The shame is I was in great shape after two weeks of real world rides but lost it after blowing out my knee shoveling gravel in the driveway. Lesson learned. When the wife has chores I better play it safe.

Edit: I dug deeper and found it is the distributer. I remember the weird carburetor was a royal pain.

Was it an SU carb or a multiple there off as in multiples they are a bit of a bigger to balance.

My, chatterbox Friday I don't think I'll be around for a re run, so will either do it my self earlier or Tommy`s favourite at the moment D`Huez

Favourite seems like a strong word but I guess it is the only course on my 'favourites' list so...

It's always a little tempting to quit a mile or so in but it's worth it in the end.

Plus if you set a time I'll have another ghost to chase!

Not me Bill. Real life ride today, legs fine, well knee sore but bloody hell, I forgot real life rides take a toll on an old mans back, shoulders arms and neck. I need to do some stretching and exercises. Will look in.
