That worked. Deceleration up is the same as aceleration down and it's 9.81xsin(slope angle)m/s

Sin 14 degrees is 0.242 so on a 14 degree slope you will slow down at a rate of 2.374 m/s/s or roughly 5 mph per second which, if I have got it right, when you hit 14 percent at 30mph without pedaling it will take you on!y 6 seconds to stop.
That sounds a bit quick so I wait to be corrected.
This the point at which your entry forces meet equilibrium in the all your kinetic energy has been transferred to positional energy so this is also the same time that you would slow to your climbing speed if your power remains constant.

It's rather a long time ago so I don't really remember. Not really trying to wind anyone up, but more hoping there might be a solution to a potential problem that could get in the way of the fun and games we have Thursdays and Saturdays. As AAAC says, it's more of a problem for the guys who cant get the update.

It would be great if we could all be riding with setups that produced similar outcome for similar effort relative to power, weight etc. I think AAAC should curb his red wine habit and invest in a second hand bkool pro unit or parts

You're welcome You had a great ride tonight, really strong. You were so close to chasing down Andy's time; wasn't sure if you knew his time and I wasn't sure how much you had left in the tank. You destroyed my time I'm glad you didn't get to ride with me earlier today, I think I would have slowed you down too much

Have you got an older Classic with a black roller and a USB B (printer style connection) input.
I have and it is not updatable to the ANT+ FEC standard and so the Firmware 2.04 always fails and if you can't get to 2.04 you won't get the latest update (I don't think).
I got some tele help from BKool and they said I had a fault on my PCB, it was out of warranty, and offered me a replacement for something like 50 euro + 50 euro shipping + 25 euro for the setup on-line.
I passed on this and thought nothing more before I bought my Pro bits second hand to find they wouldn't update either.
BKool wanted me to send the whole turbo back this time at my cost because the Trainer was out of warranty because it had been opened and was second hand and the warranty is not transferable. I deduced from that that early Classic were also no longer supported for updates and in fact there was nothing wrong with my PCB other than being too old.
