I can't get the bsim to start this morning. Rebooted several times but no luck. It seems to be glitchy since the Windows 10 update. Will try different PC with windows 7 this afternoon. Anyone else having problems?

@Randyberlin - just wondering did you ever get to the bottom of the issues you encountered.

I've had similar ongoing issues over the last 3 weeks or so.

It's got to the point that I can't guarantee a connection - yesterday I tried for an hour and on the odd occasion I did get logged into Bsim I still couldn't load the Summer Cup Stage 2, I wanted to try. I've collected screen shots of the failed messages and broadband connection history - pretty solid 40Mb/sec download speed.

I've emailed info@bkool.com with these details, so will wait to see what they come back with. It happens on laptop, tablet and my desktop.

In the end I set up for the free Zwift trial, and gave that ago for an hour rather than waste my planned slot for exercise. Wasn't sure what I was doing within the application so let Zwift decide what course I should attempt, and they sent me up a mountain stage - good exercise and pretty similar effort required on the climb.

Just hope I can get this sorted - I'll keep trying to join in the events, but i don't always have the time beforehand to cover the failed attempts.

Yes. I found out it was my firewall that would reset itself through the virus protection. It didn't happen on Windows 7 but on Windows 10 it would happen sporaticaly. I hope it works but also you should try riding a little slower.

Thanks Randy - I'll investigate that area. I'm on Windows 7 with my laptop and desktop, but it also happens on my Android tablet so I was wondering if it was my router as that is the common point on the connection.

If I don't get it sorted I think the riding slower will come naturally due to the lack of action.

Now I truly believe I was wrong about Pep Tatche being on the new F/W. He has done stage 2 again and saw toothed it very nicely!
That would not be possible on the new F/W

Edit: And HTF does a 62kg (AID) get 90+ kph going downhill? (Summer Cup Stage 3)

Edit2: And Jacob has re-run stage 1 and taken 4 minutes out of me. Guess he got fed up with me using his times as my carrot.

Not sure if it is going to be too hot tonight, but it is at least thankfully short...

Tonight's Handicap Chase is a special Handicap Climb with adjusted rider weights to equalize Watts/Kg

Session is password protected, password is chase (type h twice if help screen appears)

Course is Chapel Fell

I will start the warm-up close to 8:00pm BST (UTC+1) to ensure the race starts around 8:10pm BST (UTC+1).

Everyone taking part should adjust their weight to the allocated value before entering the warm up, preferably with at least 5 minutes to go.

Weights are generally reduced, in some cases considerably, to achieve the target Watts/Kg, so speeds should be higher than usual. The main part of the session should not take more than around 20 minutes, and in any case less than 30 minutes, to avoid changing Fitness Levels. Anyone taking longer than 30 minutes would be advised to discard their session without saving.

The Start (for everyone) should be between 8:05 and 8:10, when the warm-up ends.

Once underway, there is a short neutralized zone (0.15 miles or 0.24 km) to avoid taking advantage of the lowered resistance at start, where no-one is allowed to overtake @JLaw (or if he is not present, you must gradually increase speed to a maximum of 20 mph (32 kph) until you pass the 0.15 (0.24 km) point.

If anyone else wants to take part, please can you let us know here and we can work out a weight Handicap from your FTP power value or similar.
