OK, my initial calculation of Handicaps (and therefore Start Time in elapsed minutes and seconds) is as follows. This takes no account of any fitness changes since the last Handicap Chases, so may well result in some gaps at the finish, but should serve well to make things interesting and get us some more up to date times.

Anyone new who is not on the list, I suggest you start at the same elapsed time as some one you would expect to be close to you in performance, let us know here and see how it goes. For anyone unfamiliar with the procedures, please take a look at this link Chain Gang Handicap Race

Been to the dentist, face numb and drooling more than usual. I think that deserves an earlier start doesn't it dear benevolent uncle Geoff?

You joke, but I am wondering if I could do the chaingang first. Have a little rest, then start the handicap race. Very unlikely to finish but I might be able to have you draft me for a few miles before I bail. Probably just wishful thinking and the hump at the end of the chaingang will kill me off!
I would definitely do this evening Whorty look at the handicap, you will have finished and be in the bath before I have even started pedalling.

Just done the latest stage of the Chaingang doing well until I hit the killer hill as i made a tactical error in that i choose my flat/undulating bike due to the gearing, should of kept my climbing bike, i could of over taken rob on the hill with seconds to spare but was down over 2 minutes.

So redoing it tomorrow as i know i can do better :boxing:

Got a PB for the course of -3.24

you leave me alone and keep using your flat/undulating bike
that hill is a killer when I done it in the live race I was about 1.20 up on berty when we hit the hill he finished about 2 minutes in front of me

So Handicap Chase tonight is Pico Penas de Dios. Warmup starts at 7:50 Race starts at 8:00 but each of us must look at Geoff's post on page 1572 for our handicaps. Mine is 15:00 therefore I start at 8:15 (That's going to be fun). If your handicap is 0:00 then you will start at 8pm when the countdown reaches zero. The password to enter the session is "chase". Hopefully no issues there. If there is a problem I will post a new password here ASAP. See you all there. Actually I probably won't.

Bill, I have faith in your ability to catch most of us late starters with your opening sprint!

If all of you fast guys could give me a tow for a while on the way past that would be marvellous. If not then a cheery wave would be appreciated as you woosh past.
