I had a terrible start, the 10 sec countdown started early. Then it said I had jump started, I hadn't. So I waited, but power held @250W without pedalling, so wouldnt let me start, I had to pedal slowly for the power to register and reset to Zero, then I was off. All told maybe a minute or so lost faffing. Whorty, you held on well to me, once I'd caught you up, I thought I wouldn't shake you off for a wee while.:okay: I couldnt tell if jonbon was taking it easy when I bridge to him, then he put the hammer down.
I did wonder why you was so far back. I was lucky that I popped to the loo during the countdown and got back just in time to see @BILL S leave the ride then a message saying waiting to @bobinski to start the ride, followed immediately by the 10 second countdown. I guess if the original person drops out before the start, then the system refers to the second person to have joined the ride (in this case Bob).

I know I come late after another hundreds of messages (just woke up). I really liked this group stage, my first climb with Bkool. A useful thing would have been a text chat feature during the climb. Is there one? I don't want the others hearing me sniffing like a dog.
The message you'd have got from me would have been "slow down and wait for me!". You got that 40 second lead and I just couldn't bring you back. I guessed you was at your max too as you didn't increase the lead but every time I tried to bridge the gap you responded. Having you as a target though certainly kept my legs moving and got me a PB :okay:

Just applied for membership at the bkool website. Understood that the process is then to drop a note here ?

....

Based in Copenhagen so start times might be tricky but will try.

Been reading here a few times, specifically related to the simulator whenever there has been an update/upgrade (latest one is a disaster).

What is the "normal" route you usually ride. Gloverton someting ?

Thx,
Bugno (same nick in bkool)

Welcome I'm new to , the Tuesday evening race was called " Gowerton start"

Blimey - I've just realised that Mont Ventoux is another whopper of a ride like the Col de Bonette - took JLaw nearly 3 hours! And the league finishes tomorrow when I won't have a chance to ride it so I think I'll have to have a go at it tonight if I want to finish the Mountain Goats league. Sorry legs

Anyone else planning to do it tonight?
Sorry - 5 o'clock Saturday for me

One of the admins will accept your league membership when they look in here and see your post.

We do a variety of rides split between 3 leagues currently - the Chaingang (mixed terrain), the Mountain Goats (big hills), and the Handicap League (staggered start times based on fitness levels to aim for everyone to finish about the same time)

Each league will have a different route each week, and this week's chaingang league ride was "Gowerton Start".

Many of your potential questions about how the leagues work will be answered in this post by Geoff (some info might be a little out of date now since the software update though?) - https://www.cyclechat.net/threads/bkool-faq.191965/

Not really - you can send individual riders messages when you're spectating but not when riding as far as I know. Having said that, I don't think I'd have the energy to send text messages whilst racing - I can barely read them let alone send them! I understand that Zwift has an accompanying app which you can use to send gestures/messages to other riders - not used it myself though so I don't know exactly how it works. A phone app to send gestures or standard messages with a single tap would be good though (I could probably just about manage that!)
That reminds me - thanks for the message yesterday near the end of the climb! tried to give it 'one last push' but it didnt really work!! :heat:

Could see that the wee power zone indicator was purple for part of the last mile and I still wasnt getting close enough to Breedon so had to back off and struggle across the line. Quite like that layout for indicating zones but it is rather small!

Don't let the near 3hr time scare you off -- I suspect you'll probably be in the 1:30-1:45 range. Hell, even I was doing it in 2:15 ish last year.
