The message you'd have got from me would have been "slow down and wait for me!". You got that 40 second lead and I just couldn't bring you back. I guessed you was at your max too as you didn't increase the lead but every time I tried to bridge the gap you responded. Having you as a target though certainly kept my legs moving and got me a PB :okay:
Yes I could not go faster. Was trying to recover a bit when the slope was under 8%.

Why don't we setup a Whatsapp group? It's a free app for smart phones and allows group text chat from your phone.
Good idea. I know it would be hard to use during a ride but could be useful during warmup in case of early start

I can't hardly see a 32“ screen through all the sweat dripping into my eyes. I think audio is best and kipster`s cyclechat works best as the microphone is next to your mouth. It's less likely to be drowned out by the fan noise and turbo.
Also I don't know about anyone else but I cannot do two things at once especially when I'm on my limit:tongue:

Ask the wife:laugh:

This Headset is really good and on a deal on Amazon today....

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Sennheiser-PC320-over-ear-gaming-headset/dp/B005HWEZ02

They are over ear, so comfortable, but open backed so not too hot, and the quality is good for music as well.

I tried about 4 different types, including some really expensive ones, and these were the ones I choose to use daily.

Re. the sweating, I always had to wear a sweat band or I would soon be blinded, even with a massive fan and open window in winter. Wringing them out after a Mountain Goat climb was always shocking!

I've used these to listen to music on the phone, work really well, even over glasses. They have an inbuilt mic but I've not used it.

I use a head sweatband to keep the sweat out of my eyes too - it' just a finishing touch to the rest of my stylish Bkool attire. My family are used to it now and have (mostly) stopped laughing

I'm not sure audio feed would work... unless you want to join in my playlists...

Last night I 'danced' up the Alpe to the Dead Kennedys... I needed something 'fiery' to help me through the miles of loneliness..

Wednesday it was Madness..

kipster's solution is nice as I can manage to should abuse but certainly wouldn't be able to key into a screen ... plus water and electric shouldn't mix, and I'm dripping when I cycle so wouldn't want to get too close to the PC or phone

To be fair Jim, most days are madness on Bkool ;)

I actually cycle with no music .... maybe I should try some music and see if it helps me forget the pain!
