My participation tomorrow is in jeopardy.
My pain cave is being turned into lodgings for Christmas which means the bike goes to the shed for storage over Christmas along with the Turbo.
The visitors were not going to be here until Friday but the Father in Law called tonight to say they are coming a day early (as is his prerogative!).
I will try and delay the conversion until after the Chain Gang, so long as the FIL does not come in again and start conversing with me about Beryl Burton and the like whilst I'm trying to catch enough breath to keep up with DP.

I've had to buy some blinds for the room today. As it is very conservatory like I went for vertical blinds (and they were cheaper Bill).
But fek me they are a pain to put together, I had no idea you had to size up each individual 'slat', assemble it into its hanger, hook it up, add the weight and then clip the awkward little chains on the bottom. What a PITA.

Last work day in London today for the rest of the year. WFH tomorrow, then off until the 3rd. Have 3 Goats, 3 Chaingangs and 2 Winter cups to catch up on already ... going to be a busy couple of weeks :heat: Looking forward to every second of it :wahhey: Watch out my fellow Mooses, Whorty is going to be chasing you down :cycle:

AAAC I'm quite disappointed in you that you'd put the happiness of your family ahead of competing in the chaingang but fingers crossed that you'll be able to keep them out of your pain cave for just one extra day. It'll probably need that extra day just to let the air freshener get to work so you could always use that as an excuse.
I am however quite proud of you for picking the cheapest possible blinds, which is exactly what I'd have done under the circumstances. Recently when you lot were talking about having new kitchens fitted and figures like £5000.00 were being mentioned (you could get a really nice bike for that) I had to stop reading as the stress was too much. I couldn't (and still can't) understand why a nice second hand kitchen off of ebay for £100 wouldn't suffice perfectly well.
Not quite sure I'd like vertical blinds at home though. It'd make the place look like my office :rain:.

I think tomorrow we can expect to see some high speed racing as AAAC will try and break my 1 minute lead which could be fun!
Shame Bridgy can't make it though...

And I'll be watching Andy's every move to try and prevent him from closing down my 2min 20 sec lead over him.

And if that doesn't put a target on my back I don't know what will. :hello:

After Andy's start last time he'll be looking at another sharp start to keep up with you and catch a lift. It looks like a pretty long stage so trying to last out is going to be key but striking out solo could be pretty hard work, but keeping to a musical theme 'I won't back down'

hi Geoff, i believe you are the 'man' to deal with membership requests to CG and MG groups, i posted an intro/request earlier (pp1916) and have since asked to join on BKool's website, my user name there is now srs52 (formerly steve), is there anything else i should do (assuming my application is not declined ;) ) , no rush to deal with this as i'm travelling this afternoon and not back until Jan 2nd and unfortunately have no room for my bike/trainer, buy a bigger car i hear you say - maybe next time

I won't be there tonight to watch Andy's sprint from the start. I have the pleasure of watching the new Start Wars movie which will allow me to recover from eating and drinking out 4 days in a rowxx(
I will ahve a go tomorrow against some ghosts if anyone interested OR have another go at the Winter league.

Enjoy yourselves tonight:okay:
