No problem at all to organise the rides. It's great motivation to have the company and it's no effort at all to choose a course.

Does anyone have a preference to the kind of rides we do? Unless you guys object I'm most likely going to continue getting to roughly halfway then upping the pace as it's giving me a really good work out but I'm aware this isn't really very team spirited...alternatively I could pick out a slightly shorter ride (kipster put one up). And then do another ride at a faster pace afterwards.
the rides you've chosen so far are quite good , if you choose longer rides but less hilly that could work as you would be able to up the pace slightly and improve drafting and encourage team work, that's only an idea though so will see what others think.

That was my thinking when I picked the last one it just turned out a little hillier than I thought. What looked like a fairly short hill on the profile turned out to be quite a long one .

...and there's me thinking you were just trying to make life harder for the new NEO user:smile:

More of the same is good for me Tommy. Though I will push on upnthe hills if I can.

I can't do tomorrow (I have 'jobs' to do around the house!) but hopefully up for a ride on Sunday. For me, I'm happy with the current format, and don't mind if you all spin on at the halfway point (or whatever suits you). Now I know I can do 60k, I'll be more likely to kick on even if i'm on my own. It's a shame though some other tail enders don't join in - we could then even have 2 groups going after halfway.

I couldn't join you this morning but did use all available ghosts - Whorty and Breedon - to do the ride this afternoon. I went as fast as I could and did the first hill quicker than you two but the rest of the route we did at roughly the same speed. Thanks for suggesting doing a longer ride, and for the ghosts for making me push on. I have no doubt that it has done me good! I might join the slower group, when I have recovered.

I am the slower group @Rod McG and as the e-mail shows you smashed me by over 8 minutes .... looks like you had a really good ride :okay: Shame you couldn't join us this morning.

Did Goats stages 4 and 5 today - I don't do hills very well but had set myself a target to at least finish all stages.

They just need approving as they both fell short of the Cadence requirements due to only recording 50% of my actual Cadence when virtual speed kicks in.

That's me done for this year, as I won't be around tomorrow due to footie and the inevitable night on the 'pop'.

A big shout out to all the Admins for the hard work and commitment putting together all the various leagues throughout 2016.
I wish everyone all the best for the New Year, and will see you in 2017 for more pain. :banghead:

Just finished the 4th ride of TT's training program. He saved the best for last...I think^_^
Ta again for organising Tommy. I wouldn't have ridden so many miles if you hadn't done setbitbup. And it's been more enjoyable to ride with you, whorty breedon. Did bkool find your ride yesterday? Mine today isn't showing which is a bummer because it would have taken me past 200 miles for the week.

The best thing, apart from the miles etc is my knee seems much improved. There are things I still cannot do like if I squat it is difficult to stand without relying much more on my left leg and my right leg won't lay completely flat but I have very little discomfort and no pain and none at all during this weeks rides. So, a bloody frustrating year of ITB misery seems to be coming to an end:okay:

Thanks to all for company, competition and banter. And a special thanks to our long suffering Mods. Here's to 2017, bkool getting their act together and the continued progress of team cyclechat members:highfive::cheers:

It's been good fun bud and likewise I wouldn't of stuck with it if not for you guys so thanks a lot for the company :hugs:. I've done over 200 miles this week. Virtual miles so should probably have an asterix next to them but I'm glad we did it. My ride from yesterday has appeared so don't lose hope for yours. I'm not working next week either so will be looking to do more miles if anyone fancies it. If I'm on my own I may just do some hill climbs and try catch up with the winter league.

Afternoon all,
After December off due to illness and work I am back. It's just taken me two hours to catch up on the posts here.

I've done the first two winter cup rides over the past few days to ease back in and will do the third tonight before settling down to attempt to stay awake to watch the fireworks on TV

Shame the Goats league is stopping as I really enjoyed them but can see the reasons why

I'll have to do hills separately or Trainerroad as build up to Nove Colli in May

Happy New Year to all, thanks to the mods and all of you guys for ensuring motivation to ride all sessions.

Here's to a great 2017 and that it is injury free, illness free and that all challenges - DD, Tenerife, Nove Colli Etc are successful
