Back on thread... A couple of things, actually three! It seems the league is still active today so anybody who wants to put their body through hell can attempt stage 5.
I'll be working on the teams due December, taking into account two withdrawals, @JJRobinson (till further notice) and @Randyberlin (for a month till he gets over his polar bear attack) and incorporating @Whorty, @Goldwolfie and @Marco72. I'll also be trying, through some complicated formula yet to be devised, which will probably incidentally solve the Goldbach conjecture, to get teams as level as possible in terms of combined ability.
Finally we appear to have another @dark in the shape of @undilino. I've sent him a friend request, which had not yet been answered in order to try to initiate communication but his figures look unreal, 425w at 79rpm! I don't mind losing but not to somebody whose kit isn't correctly calibrated. I'll review his continued participation and the end of December.
Damp here but off for a long ride in the golden colors of late autumnal France.

Dude, where’s the pictures?
Edit: I don’t care about the performance I just like the looks.
@Randyberlin these are pre di2 upgrade.

I've also put wider handlebars on, the 44's just felt a little too narrow for me. I am using seat mounted bottle cage holder (Seat cage mount) for my Varia Radar and Cycliq 6ce camera/light (the mounts were made by shapeways, Varia Mount , Cycliq fly 6 ce mount)

I also added a sw-600 climbers switch

When I was riding it it was exactly what was needed for me. The final mod made it an off road bike officially (Ermmm ), but I have a full motorbike licence so I may be bending the rules a lot.

I'll try to get some more upto date pics shortly if I remember.

Thanks all for your interesting replies. I will keep looking.
It's very tempting today as there are some good deals out there with black Friday and cyber Monday, but I must be sensible and try a couple first.

As you say though I will maybe pop a post on the general forum as well and leave this thread for the league chat.

Indeed we do live in a small world.

Ok the admin is done for November, phew. Unfortunately I set the start date for the first stage of December's league as 4/12 so it won't appear in your feeds until Wednesday. I now have a clearer idea of how bkool league handles dates and hopefully it will be smoother in future! In fact as the teams function doesn't work correctly in bkool I don't actually need a down day to adjust things.
So, in November we grew from 25 to 40 people doing one or more stages of the league and 13 of us did all 5 stages. The average numbrer of stages undertaken rose very slightly from October, 61% to 62%.
After much faffing about, trying to accurately calculate times for stages not done I've come up with teams for December trying to get teams that are as equal as possible. As there are now 16 of us, there are 4 teams of 4 which means that Shim's Celtic Cruisers are no more, partly due to their captain buggering off to warmer climes just when he was needed most!
The teams are in the december tab of the google doc referenced in my signature.
Hope we can have as much fun in Decmber as we did in November!

Keith How do I participate in this please? Iunderstand thatI can cycle at any time if I don't have time for the allotted race time but I don't know how to register for it. For example, I tried to register for 2 catch up rides in the Bkool Pro League on Saturday, as I wasn't able to do your group ride in the evening, and only one of my rides registered. Do you have an explanation that can talk me through participating in your rides please?

LIVING THE DREAM
I used to be anti ebikes, just as I was anti mountain bikes, until I got one and loved it! Just call me narrow minded! I now think ebikes are great, not for me... Yet, though I was in awe of the new cannondale super six ebike, if only it hadn't cost 9 grand! I now love to see people out riding who wouldn't do it other wise. Good on them. It also gives me something to train against on my ride to work, nobody who comes past me doesn't get caught, even if they have got a little help. I do of course have my own assisted ride. She sits on the back of the tandem and kicks in just when I need it towards the end of a climb.
If my wife sat on the back of a tandem I would be in the pub miles away.
