Eeeeek😢I think I remember it now. Go all out 15km downhill and realise there is another 15km when you get to the bottom.
Liking the saddle. Nice looking bike. What is it. It looks like a classic steel frame.
Great route. Yes I never thought I'd catch you but gave it everything just in case. Hopefully I'll have one of the good bikes back for Saturday. The 50*13 gearing meant I was hamstering it whenever it went downhill.Well that was fun, @Brusgaard I thought we were working well and I think you slowed a little to let me catch up at the same time I put effort in to close the gap so I shot past.
I tried easing off but noticed @Mark68 gaining so carried on thinking we'd meet on the next climb.
I started getting carried away and had a little lead and got excited about a win when Keith on his penny farthing started creeping through the pack. I thought I might hold him off but lost some time on the randomly placed 14% section on the flat...
Once again thought I might win but Keith wasn't giving up and made me get the heart into the 180s for the last 2k.
No, I was tired after these last 3 days of racing, and after 15kms I found it better to just roll (with a few kicks) to the finish. Only about 4-5 minutes slower than last time.Well that was fun, @Brusgaard I thought we were working well and I think you slowed a little to let me catch up at the same time I put effort in to close the gap so I shot past.

Great ride Wolfie! You made me suffer and if you hadn't been nipping at my heels I'd have probably taken 5 mins longer. If it'd been a bit longer you'd have got meYou lot needn't worry about finishing last as I'll be there tonight - if I remember, I enjoyed the first bit then struggled to complete the ride. I'll take it a bit easier on the downhill and hope the rest of it is not as painful.
I've got a new tactic of not letting the watts drop to 150 on descents and anything above 0.5% I'm out of the saddleNice course, rode the whole thing in video mode. Shamelessly borrowed a wheel from Wolfie, Iain and Keith.
Brilliant ride @shimceltic 274w over 54mins, looked very close at the front! 🍻
Yes I kept looking at the gap and could see I was closing on @Brusgaard and stuck with him for a while and we were working well. I just edged in front on a rise, but could also see @keithaitch closing so had to dig in. I though he's going to catch me soon and he did. I only just managed to stay with him a short while then got dropped. Whats the 14% all about? Didn't like that and my chain didn't shift in time and got stuck for a bit.Well that was fun, @Brusgaard I thought we were working well and I think you slowed a little to let me catch up at the same time I put effort in to close the gap so I shot past.

Quick edit, almost 4 mins quicker than when we rode before lockdown. I need to make sure I keep up the work rate now back at work.

My chicken and lamb kebab at lunch helped me....My watts seem to be getting less at the moment. Only managed about 230 tonight.Maybe I need some relatively easy rides and a dose of recovery. Don't think my sleep or diet has been helping recently
@BILL S - I tried my best and enjoyed the chase, but I think you had more in the tank at the end - that sharp 14% did for me. At least I was 3 minutes quicker than our last effort on that course, so my change of tactics appeared to have worked. I took it a lot steadier on the downhill bit, so I had more left for the second half.Great ride Wolfie! You made me suffer and if you hadn't been nipping at my heels I'd have probably taken 5 mins longer. If it'd been a bit longer you'd have got me![]()
